“Are those flamingo cocktail floaties as bath toys?” My sister-in-law asked as she ducked her head in during bath time.
“Why yes, yes they are. ” We do bath time every day and I had completely forgotten how these little bath-critters came to be in the first place. LOL
This is what I call a Mom Win, for multiple reasons.
- I got away for a girls trip where those Flamingos were employed as intended: in a swimming pool, with cocktails, friends and sweet freedom from the mom life I love. We all need “us time”, “girl time” and to take a break from the demanding little people whom we adore. A little “me time” goes a long way and results in better women, better moms and better relationships.
- My kids love them and they’re cute. It’s technically recycling and a win-win all around. Waste not, want not.
- A reminder to laugh. Adulting can be far too serious and the stress of mom life is a real thing. Appreciate the humor in it when you can.
Mermingos – apparently they are a thing. Who knew? Obviously, I’m an instant fan. As a lover of mythical creatures, how could I not? I had no idea mermaids enlisted an aquatic, aerial steed but I’m down for it.
